A CT scan, also known as computed tomography scan, makes use of computerprocessed combinations of many X-ray measurements taken from different angles to produce cross-sectional (tomographic) images of specific areas of a scanned object, allowing the user to see inside the object without cutting. The subjectmatter of this book has been presented in a simple manner and each chapter contains variety of illustrations and photographs to explain the relevant concepts. Latest developments in the field have been duly incorporated in the respective chapters. The book has been compiled to provide a sequential knowledge of the said subject and is prepared by consulting several standard journals of related field. No doubt the book would serve greatly to scientists and engineers. Till now no such type of book has been published. It is hoped that this book is sufficiently comprehensive to guide scientists and engineers. Main aim of this book is to provide a mature approach to basic principles of Computerized Tomography. It is hoped that this edition will show a path for both scientists and engineers of this field.
